I was trying to link to a local wireless network last night as BT had problems. Not sure exactly what happened but BT is up & running again now . However the flashing amber light on the front of my laptop which i believe is showing the status of a local network is still flashing .I've re-set everything to how it was before but it won't stop. have looked in the manual but can't find how to turn it off. Any ideas pls? as it's annoying the hell out of me?

Are you actually connected to this "wireless network" ?
If so - go into Network Neighbourhood and disconnect it
Or is the amber light indicating something else ?
