help needed

My pc at home I have lost my tool bar ... Its been replaced by a different one .....no fav or history or back .....forward plus when i click on some desktop icons it comes up with a a bow with.....windows cannot read files..Ihave restored but it still the same

try right clicking a blank space on the menu bar and ensure the menu bar option has a tick against it.
