How to store cookies on IE7?

Hi

After recently moving back to Internet Explorer 7 after using Mozilla Firefox, I'm having an issue saving login information for my email account and Online bank. Cookies are allowed however I don't think they are being stored beyond the current session. All login information is lost when I boot up the pc again on the next session.
Can anyone please advise if i'm being stupid and missing something simple and what I need to do to avoid entering my email or bank details each time?

Oh Dear!! Have you gone back to "the blue E" for any particular reason . Uncle Bills' offering has basically only added what Firefox has done beautifully for ages... The only reason I give it drive space is just for updates for Windows OS updates and nothing else..O/K ...we know the script kiddies and the hackers out there are starting to probe Mozilla's baby..but its still a more robust platform and knocks I/E sideways..You aren't being stupid at all but doesn't the fact that you're having trouble configuring e.mail and Banking issues tell you something ?? Personally , I wouldn't use I/E for any of my banking activity ...If you are keying in your bank login details every time....you only need a keylogger following your keystrokes and....Whoops !!!

I've always been happy with MF although it doesn't seem as quick as I recall when I first started using it. I tried IE7 after a colleague said it had been improved and as I was having difficulties with my email a/c on MF, I couldn't send links for example on MF but could on IE, I have since realised this is an issue with Windows Live Beta, after switching back to basic Hotmail, the issue has been resolved and i've switched back to MF.

Whilst on the matter, are you aware of any security issues with Hotmail?

Hi Twaddy. The Fox is still the browser of choice for me.What p/c users must appreciate is that our setups vary so very much and we all have different applications running so there are always bound to be having issues with somethng or other.You only have to read user reviews on sites like "Download.com" to see that what one person thinks is brilliant...another will claim "it froze my computer".As for Hotmail...I wouldn't give it drive space...too many security grey areas for my taste..With respect to the point about different setups and application performance...All my mail clients and Yahoo webmail run faultlessly on Firefox 24/7 ..Having said that ..someone I know is currently having the "image" problem with Firefox and I am currently trying to sort it for them..Up to now though..it's looking like a mail configuration issue and nothing to do with the browser.Getting off my "soapbox" now...P.S...Firefox is still a much better browser ...go on...you know it makes sense....Regards Ed
