My husband has just set up my new computer and in importing my Outlook Express e-mail addresses from the old machine to the new one, all the Group email addresses have been lost.
Does anybody know how to rectify this?. The data is still on the old computer. Thanks

You've not stated how you tried to transfer the old address book. If you've not already tried the following, give it a go. (You won't lose anything if it doesn't work).

On the old PC, search for *.wab.
This will find your address book file. (The actual file name will be something like wendys.wab, depending upon the name you've used to log on to the PC).

Copy this file to a CD. Insert the CD into the drive of the new PC.

Open Outlook Express. Click on 'Addresses'. In the new window, select File > Import > Address book. Navigate to the location of the file on CD and double-click on it.

That should merge the contents of the old address book (including the groups) into the new address book.

Many thanks for your advice. The old addresses were imported and we didn't realise that part of Outlook Addresses were separate files. My wonderful techie has now got it sorted to my great relief, especially as I run a voluntary organisation and one of my group mailing lists has about 60 members for whom I definitely didn't fancy having to re-input all the email addresses manually again.
