Sorting a list

Can anyone help me?
I want to sort a list into alphabetical order and also by word length, but have no idea how to do it.
Any ideas?
I would be very grateful for any help.

It is in Word at the moment bob.

There is a sort option in Word. If you select the list, then go to the Table menu and select sort, you can sort them alphabetically. Not sure how you'd do it by word length though
