help please

my internet keeps cutting out, it displays message "ATM, a network cable is unplugged", why is this? before I would leave pc on for days and days with no problem but since Orange upgraded me I've had endless problems, anyone know if there is a reason for this.Thanks.

Hi saintpeter48, sorry I don't know the answer, but your question interested me because a friend who lives in the Dudley area has told me that since Orange upgraded her broadband recently (she didn't ask them to, they just did it) she cannot get on-line easily and if she does then it keeps cutting out, and her e-mails are going straight into 'deleted' before she even sees them.
Sounds a similar problem to yours. She tried phoning Orange but could not get through to the right person, so eventually gave up.
Has yours been sorted out now, I wonder?
