I have XP and ie 7. When preparing a Word document it's easy to get out of overtype mode (where new typing overwrites and replaces any typing ahead of it) by clicking OVR on the task bar. Overtype can also happen, unwanted, when preparing an email and there is no OVR to get out of it. Does anyone know please why this happens with emails and how to cancel overtype?
