Windows Media Player 11 - Burn Problem

When I try and burn a playlist to a CD in WMP11 the program goes through the tracks to analyse and prepare them, starts (on the screen, at least) to burn the first track and then stops and tells me that it can't continue as the blank CD is faulty - which it isn't.

However, if I roll back to WMP10, it will burn as good as gold!

I've now tried this on both my home and office computer with the same result.

The source files are all mp3 and unprotected.

Can't find anything in the Microsoft knowledge base so hope someone on here can help.
