media player prob

my media player will rip a cd ok,but it will not burn a cd. it wont recognise my burner even clicking refresh won`t work,any ideas why gratefully recieved.

Have you got a cd burner, and not just a cd reader?

its a dvd/cd burner ethel it works fine on my other progs just not media player

p.s. although it used to work,i wondered if i may have inadvertantly done something to mess it up.

Have you had a look in tools - options : take care with what you change so you can always change it back.

There is a devices tab - does your CD drive come up here?

What version of media player are you on?

yes the drive does show and i`m running mp 11 now as i had the same prob with mp10 so i tried upgrading but to no avail

I googled "media player won't burn" - several hits!!!
