mcafee problem

Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my mcafee suite 2007. It says my computer is not protected. There is a 'fix now' button but no matter how many times I press it, it dosent fix the problem. I really need to do some internet banking but I am afraid to without being protected. Anyone know what to do?

what says you're not protected?
what exactly does it say?
is it windows security centre
is it your definitions
if it is .... just manually update
change the schedule to update when you are likely to be online

or is mcafee? warning you?

are you sure that the alert is displayed by mcafee and not by some other software? if so, and you have problem decrypting the messages, try official mcafee forum, they gonna tell you better advices then us :)
