my computer does nothing but beep...

hi there i have an acer aspire thats (about 4 years old?) and it makes a continuoes beeping noise ive heard those beeping noises mean specific problems and sumthing about cmos and ive been on websites but i want a straight answer if you can fix it easily or not.

what exactly is happening?

BIOS bleeps normally only happen on startup .... and to an extent are unique to your MOBO's bios

if the beeping starts ..... and doesn't stop .... I'd be looking for a stuck keyboard key
or possibly a processor fan kicking in because the heatsink is blocked
a faulty hdd
a faulty cd/dvd drive
a faulty case fan .....
