No sound on pc

I had this problem before and somebody gave me a link but i cant remember what it was.Any ideas.TIA

try turning the speakers up or depressing mute.

Thankyou,ive tried that but no joy.

go to settings, control panel then sounds speech and audio devices and check everything on there is turned up properly lol

Done that as well,and ive checked the wire is in properly.

have you done it all through the little speaker thing on the bottom right next to the clock too?

any yellow question marks in the audio section ?
