I am trying to open a PDF document that I saved onto a Flash Memory from my work PC. My home PC is running MS XP Home Edition. When I click to open the PDF, a window opens saying NERO Burning ROM7, and then a smaller window appears saying "unexpected file format". Confused! Do I need to download something, and if so what and from where? Hoping to do this tonight if anyone can advise.

Thanks

PDFs are opened with adobe acrobat reader ..... the problem is that it's a huge prog to download and install.

If you don't use PDFs often (or even if you do) foxit reader is far faster and smaller and portable (will work from your flash)

(sounds like a QVC advert!!! - I've used foxit for a few years now ... never a glitch)
Question Author
Many thanks ACthe TROLL. Have downloaded Foxit and works a treat. Maybe you can help with my next question. Is there away to transfer a PDF document into Excel? The PDF does not allow me to change any aspect. I would like to edit parts of the document, which in this instance are price pages which are normally in excel. Big TKU for fast reply to my initial question.
it depends
one of the reasons for using pdf is that it protects the document

you can try the text selection tool .... (won't work if copy protected!)

but you'll only get text .... no formatting
there is an evaluation copy of an editor .... but I don't know what the restrictions are
