Storing photos on-line.
Thought I was doing well, but, as usual have come unstuck! I have the photos stored in " my pictures " sorted into separate folders. ie 'scotland' 'norfolk holiday' and 'sister's family' etc. However I have somehow managed to put 2 of the folders inside another, quite unrelated folder, creating 2 sub-folders.
Please how can I move these folders out and make them folders in their own right again, so to speak.
There has to be an easier way than cutting and pasting every (lots) individual photo.
Would appreciate some help please.

Go into "My Pictures" and find the folder you want to move. Click on the FOLDER ICON then select Edit then Cut.
Now navigate to the place where you want the NEW folder to go.
Click on a blank white area (where there is nothing) then select Edit and Paste.
The folder should move.

You can also use drag and drop to move folders.
You need to open up TWO "My Documents" windows, one showing the folder you want to move, the other showing the place where you want to move it to.
Select on the folder you want to move, hold down the RIGHT mouse button, and DRAG it to the other window.
Let go of the mouse button and you get a small menu showing Copy Here, Move Here etc .
Select Move Here and the folder will move.

>On your second method of opening 2 windows, do you mean 2 windows side-by-side at the same time? How would you do that ?
......
Well normally if you open the My Documents window, then click on the My Documents ICON a second time it DOES NOT open a second window.
This is how to get round it
Double click on the My Documents ICON and the My Documents window opens.
Within the My Documents WINDOW double click on a folder (any folder) but in your case maybe My Pictures.
Now go back to the My Documents ICON and double click on it agian.
A second My Documents window opens.
So you now have two "My Documents" windows open and you can drag and drop folders or files between them.
I do this all the time if I want to MOVE or COPY files.
Note that even though you have two My Documents windows open they are both looking at the same thing, so if you drag from one window to the other you are just moving folders within My Documents.
