msn alternative

heya.. my msn has recently ******* its got some virus that cant be removed off my computer without whiping.. and im not doing that at all!!
i was just wondering if anybody could recommend me an alternative that i cud use.. i did have pidgin but it disconnected me like every 5minutes!!

Until you get rid of the virus, then nothing may work. Why would you put up with a virus? A decent virus programme will only remove the virus, and at a push you may need to reinstall MSN.

Any IM is only good if your contacts also use it.

Or do you mean browser?

However, you shouldn't be leaving viruses on your pc - they can all be dealt with properly

what does you use MSN for: instant messaging, email? this would determine what would be the best alternative for you.

ive tried soo much to get it off.. its called psguard.msnmsgr or sumthing.. ive went onto diferrent forums to try and get help but nothing will work :(

Two bad answers there. AdwareAlert borders on the side of a rogue application and spywareremove.com gets a big red X from SiteAdvisor.

If running Vista click OK on the FixIEDef is running as Administrator popup

FixIEDef will kill all copies of Internet Explorer and Explorer that are running. The icons and Start Menu on your Desktop will not be visible while FixIEDef is running. This is necessary to remove parts of the infection that would otherwise not be removed. FixIEDef will re-start Explorer at the end of the removal process

can't solve your problem but when msn is playing up my kids use www.ebuddy.com and log onto msn there.
