floppy disc

I have stuff on my floppy disc, but I cant access it.
On the drop down near the save box they are showing up but not highlighted like the recent saves Ive done.
I dont understand have I lost this info ?

Just a normal floppy disc inserted into slot .
I cant get the stuff stored on it.
Only the stuff I have done lately.
Has it been wiped off because there is a record of it but its not accessable.

if you can see it - it's there (in theory at least)

the trouble with floppys (and just about all removable media) - is that they are iffy at best

they should always be used as part of a backup SET
and not as sole storage.

save to HDD - archive to floppy
I know ... not posible always - frighteningley ... the setup for my pacemaker is stored on a floppy - I suppose the good news (for them at least) is that it won't be me complaining if it all gets lost (or even breathing!! ;(
