I have been given a new cd/dvd writer/rewriter. iI have one already in my computer and have a slot for the second so which jumper settings do I use from csel/slave/master. I rarely need tocopy from one CD Rom to the other but it could be useful.

put one on master and one on sleve
Slave even..

I personally wouldn't attempt to do a direct drive to drive copy either, all it need is a finger print or a small scratch on the original to slow down the reading a little and the burn will fail.

copy a image to you hard drive and then burn the image to the disc is a far more reliable way of doing it.

Many thanks. That's what I thought. I'll use the second as a spare
