When I connect peripherals (Video Camera etc) to a USB port, they show up as Removable Disk (E) and are not identified specifically. Any ideas please?

ideas on what?

They show as removable disks because that is what they are to the computer.

On my old PC running Windows XP when a camera was connected to the USB port the PC recognised not only that it was a camera connected but also the make and model.
