pictures to dvd

Last night I copied my daughters 3.8g of pictures from her trip to Jamaica. This morning the computer won't read it. It says that the disk is blank. When I go to properties it says the disk is full.

Have you tried the disc in a normal dvd player to see if anything comes up on tv screen?
First try a few other disks in your DVD drive. If they don't work you may well need to replace the drive. If the other disks work you might need to try some recovery software. The product which is most likely to work is IsoBuster. Don't be put off by the mention of $29.95 for a license key. If you accept the 'Free functionality' you should find that you can recover the files without having to pay for the full version of the program:

If your burning to a dvd, burn it as slow as possible. Lost many a valuable photo, cos a disc was burned to quickly
