New Hard Drive?
My boss' hard-drive is dead and no longer usable. The lap-top and printer connected to it are fine. Is it possible to just purchase a new hard-drive and reconnect it to the other bits of kit? If yes, what shoudl I look for in a new hard drive? I wish to run Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc) plus email and internet connection. What size memory would be suitable?

This is a hard drive: http://www.pcarenahungary.com/pricelist/oriask ep/10_0_Gb_Hard_Disk-192.jpg
It sounds more like you mean your boss's computer:

Your question is a bit confusing. You say you have a dead hard drive, but the laptop is fine.
Is this hard drive INSIDE the laptop, or is it an external hard drive in a separate box, or is the hard drive somewhere else (in another computer)?
If it is INSIDE the laptop, then is this the hard drive with Windows and all your programs on it ?
If so, if you buy a new hard drive how are you going to get Windows and all your applications on it?
To answer your question fully we need more detailed information.

I put "more" in my first append above as I was going to tell you about different types of hard drives, but like rojash I am a bit confused and not sure you problem IS the hard drive.
If you can tell us what sort of computer set up you have, and how the computers and printers work together.
Also tell us what is NOT working and why you think it is the hard drive.
