Laptop not workin

I have a hp compaq nc6320 and it will not switch on. I have checked the battery and adapter. the little yellow lightening sign is lit up i dont know what this means?

It seems some power supply problem inside the laptop.
You should consult your product vendor. If it is under warranty, they can replace it.
