Every time I try to sign in to IE (Virgin Media) I have to insert my password, although I didn`t used to have to. How can this problem be rectified please? I also have to do this each time after I switch off my PC to enable any updates. Also when I submit this post I look to see if any relevant answers to my query are available but always get the `No Relevant Questions Found` and I know someone must have asked the same question before me. Help please!!!!

Do you mean you have to insert your password to get into windows every time you start the computer up.
If this is the case, just go into control panel - user accounts and remove password.
Yeah, it's not clear what you are saying. What has virgin media got to do with it?
Please explain more clearly.

Hi trish,. I have tried your suggestion and opened user accounts but their is no `Remove Password` mentioned.

vascop,. I thought it might help, you knowing what ISP I was using, but apparently not, sorry.
When you go into user accounts, if you have a password, it should give you the option to either change password or remove password.
If you haven`t got a password it gives the option to create a password.
What options is it actually giving you?
Are you on windows vista or xp?
You still haven`t said what is actually happening.
Does your user name appear on the screen "when you switch on" asking for your password?

Hi trish, It`s a bit late at the moment to sort out, I`ll get back to you to-morrow, `g`night`,....yawn.

Hi trish, I`m back, hopefully refreshed. I am on xp and when I switch on I have a window where I have to give my e-mail address, and each time I am asked to give my password, which I do, but it then says that the password I have given is not recognised....so, I type it in again and it then opens up my e-mail window. I have gone into `user accounts` but cannot find `remove password` or anything appertaining to this. Hopefully this clears up what I am trying to get over to you . Many thanks for your co-operation in this matter.
Just seen your post, it sounds as if it`s not windows asking for password.
If you are getting into your emails, you obviously don`t have a password set up for getting into windows. This is why you don`t get option to remove password in user accounts.
I have a virgin email account, I don`t like it and very rarely use it. I use yahoo mail.
What I don`t understand is, Are you being asked for this password even if you`re not trying to get your emails?
What do you have as your home page (what page do you get to when you click internet explorer)
PS. You don`t need to go back pages to view questions you`ve asked or answered, just click on "my profile" under your user name and find the relevant question or answer from there.
