Printer problem

Evening,

I have a HP 2570 Series printer which is about 2 poss 3 years old.

I seem to be having a problem with the black cartridge whereby it works for a while then I get a message which says "remove and check cartridge on right".

The cartridge is fairly new, there is plenty of ink but for some reason it just stops working. If I change the cartridge a handful of pages print then I get the same error message.

Does any one know what is causing this and how this can be avoided.

I am on to my 4th black cartridge but using the same colour cartridge since Christmas and I rarely use the printer.

Many thanks for your help.
