Free anti virus

Can anyone help with a free anti virus programme. i am having a lot of problems.

Gooogle FileHippo and download Malwarebytes freeware and do a quick scan for nasties. New Version out today.

There are a number out there. I've been known to go to the Kaspersky site and kick off a scan from there. It'll download some files and then run.

i was recommended 'comodo' on ab and it is really good its an all in one package for all round internet protection anti virus and firewall

got on two pcs now very good

Yes Comodo is very good as Chuckfickens recommended it . I now use Microsoft Security Essentials which is very good.

Problems with your existing anti virus, or problems with your computer generally?

Problems with your computer may not be caused by VIRUSES but malware, so as has been said malwarebytyes is good.

For free anti virus I use Avast.

I use AVG Free 9.0.790 and have found that ok.

You can also do a one off virus scan of your machine as is, using housecall, which down loads from
http://housecall.tren...secall/start_corp.asp and then works offline after downloading the reference file
