How did you put them on the disc exactly?
Burn with Nero? ... Sonic? as an audio cd? Or burned a set of original files as a data disc?
If you made an audio CD, the original files will have been converted to wav format to make a traditional audio cd.
If you just burned the original files as a data disc, you can just open the disc in Explorer and highlight/copy/paste the files back again.

thanks for that....i went to my music in my docs, right clicked and sent to 'd' drive.
Easy when you know how : )
You can follow this guide to rip the songs from your CD disc to comptuer.

Hope it helps. Contact me if you have any other question.
JeffMatt's advice doesn't seem relevant to your situation. It only applies if you're seeking to rip files from an audio disk but you seem to have simply saved the files to a data disk.

You obviously know how to get to your 'My Music' folder, so do that first. If the contents of that folder are shown in a full-screen window click on the 'restore down' button (next to the 'close' button at the top right of your screen). You'll now have a window which can be resized by clicking and dragging on the edges of it. Make it so it takes up about half of your screen.

Now place your disk into the drive. Double-click on that drive's icon, to display the contents of the disk. Resize that window as well, so that you've got the two windows side by side. In this second window go to Edit and click on 'Select All'.

Now click on any file in that second window and, keeping the mouse button held down, drag it across to the first window. Job done.
