MailWasher bouncing emails

I have three email accounts - let us say A, B, and C - and use MailWasher to bounce spam and other unwanted emails. When I bounce an email, MailWasher tells me that it is being bounced by account A (my principal account). Wouldn't this convey to the spammer that account A is alive and well? I would like to change this so that the bouncing is done from a different account, say account C, but cannot find how to do so. Advice appreciated please.

Surely, Mailwasher would bounce saying something like "Mailbox doesn't exist". If it sends a message to the spammer saying that it has classed it as spam, then I see no point in using it.
I have used Mailwasher for over 10 years now and have never bounced an e-mail for the simple reason which you mentioned yourself, that it lets the Spammer know that it has a proper and live e-mail address and will keep on sending. Bouncing also helps to clog up and slow down the INTERNET system by sending useless mail.
I prefer to just put a tick in the delete box or, if it is a regular spam mail, add it to the blacklist for regular deletion.
I wouldn't think that bouncing from a different account will make any difference. You'll still keep getting them and may end up getting the same spam message to all three accounts.
Just a thought!

You are both probably right in different ways and I thank you for your interest. I would like to know what MailWasher actually does say when a message is bounced, so will wait a while to see it there are any more replies.
