connecting to sites

I click on Gmail and several sites pop up. If I click on the first site (free Gmail from Google) nothing happens. I then try the second site (Gmail Email from Google) i am immediately connected. This happens a lot of times on a lot of sites... Any ideas? Thanks, John

Sounds like the way they are bookmarked.
R Click the bookmark and properties to see what it is.
Delete and re-bookmark the page you access if necessary.
