Hold in you on/off button on your PC for a few seconds until it turns off. Then unplug it for a minute then turn it back on. While it is turning on keep tapping the F8 button at the top of the keyboard. A screen will come up showing different options. Choose System Restore and press enter. Then download what squarebear suggested and run a scan.
You may be able to do more if you boot into "safe mode".
But for now try the malware scan recommended. I used it recently on my woman's PC (amongst other scans) and I think I finally cleared her malware infection (and the rest).
Problem being if you left an opening for one rogue software, there may be more lurking. In some ways one that is obvious is better than just having those who sit there unnoticed.

Hi lushlar,
If you cant download any free anti virus software, as you say, it wont let you do anything, then i would take in/ call in a professional PC repairer ( there should be plenty about in your local high street or in yellow pages )....charge for repair of PC including all other checks should be no more than £35 and the virus will be completely eliminated. ASk first for a quote and describe what you have on screen.
OR if you know anyone who is PC competent who may be able to do it for you free as they may have the know-how and the software needed.
Good luck sweetheart xx
