Norton 360 problem

I cannot get onto the internet on my laptop. When I click on Norton 360 it comes up telling me that my incoming and outgoing emails are not protected. There is a button that says fix now and it tries to run a live update but as it cannot connect to the internet it does not fix the problem.

Any advice on how to fix this? I'm not brilliant when it comes to fixing computers so please can you try to make it simple!!!

Uninstal then reinstall Norton

Thank you ever so much Davethedog, I think I can manage to do that! Will report back tomorrow and if it works I will send you a virtual box of chocolates as I really have had no idea on how to fix it!!!

It's a bit drastic to uninstall Norton but if you must, make sure you use the Norton removal tool which is free to download and you have the installation disc to hand.

I would give it a couple of hours though. Your service provider may be having problems. Maybe call your service provider to check.

I can't get on the internet to download the removal tool TTG, will this matter?

Its definitely not the service provider, it has been doing this for about a week ever since Norton said there was no protection on incoming and outgoing emails.

Norton cannot update as your internet access is down. Don't think it's a Norton issue.

Maybe post your laptop model, windows version and internet provider so other AB can advise.

I still have the problem despite re-installing Norton.

I have noticed it takes a while to log on and also comes up with a message saying windows cannot be opened.

I'll get the details tonight and post on here tomorrow.
