Any idea how to fix this error? I know I can use a data recovery program to try and get the files back, but then do I need a new hard drive or need to format the old drive and it will work fine again? Thanks in advance!

First things first:

1) What device is exhibiting this behaviour?
2) What machine are you connecting it to, and what operating system is it running?

Formatting the drive will, almost certainly, get it working again. However, It will overwrite everything already on the device...
Hi,

A device I'm going to keep secret has produced an error in a situation I'm not prepared to tell you about, how do I fix it?
