Maxthon 2 problem

Since yesterday my startpage has changed to Chinese from English. Very confusing! Please help.

Do you mean the home page you get when you first open your browser? If so easy to change to anything you want, but need to know what browser you use to be able to give directions.

Maxthon 2.5.15 is the browser and I did mean homepage - all these Chinese characters are getting to me!

Thanks, CF, but that hyperlink isn't relevant to my problem. I believe Maxthon is a Chinese based concern and I'm suffering from a Cyber Attack!!!

Is this a browsers you've intentionally installed?

If so you may have just changed the language of it.

No, been to that link-no change. the weird thing is that in the address bar it says
http://i.maxthon.cn/

Well that's a Chinese website so the page will be in Chinese.

You didn't answer the question. is this a browser you have installed intentionally at some point which has just changed to Chinese? or has the whole browser appeared suddenly?

(P.S. are you sure the first link didn't help? on most browsers you'd enter the page you want as your home page and then go to Tools > Maxthon Setup Center > General and select use current or similar)

Yes, I've been using Maxthoon for years, it's not over-complicated like IE and, no , the first link was no good.

Anyway, I've just popped to Sainsbury's, as one does, switched on the computer and Bingo - my homepage is back and in the Queen's English to boot. Thanks to ChuckFickens for your efforts, but what can you do when there are gremlins afoot!
