I got an 8MB memory stick at Christmas. My intentions were to transfer all my pictures to it from my laptop, enabling me to free up some space on my hard drive.
I have managed to transfer a few, but what I really want is to transfer the lot (100's of them) in one go. Is that possible and if so how would I do it?
My laptop is an Acer 5315
Thanks for any help

Organise them all onto one folder then right click and check they'll fit ie. below 8 gig (i'm guessing that's what you actually meant) then just click and drag the whole folder in.
The only way I could think of is to put all the pictures into one file, then right click on that file and SEND it to what ever drive the memory stick is.

Thanks for those suggestions, I will give it a try. Yes I did mean 8GB not MB
Note that a memory stick is not the best place to store backup files.

A memory stick can easily be lost, and they are not 100% reliable.

You should try to back them up to DVD as well, and maybe to an external hard drive.

If the pictures are important to you then they should be backed up to at least 2 or 3 (or more) different places.

You can never have too many backups.
I do "save as" for anything I am saving to a stick, then just enter the pathway for the stick - I have been able to click while holding down Control, to highlight several at once (but not hundreds).

Thanks again, especially VHG, I shall back them up on DVD as well.
Assuming you have them reasonably well organised on your computer you could use compression prog such as WinZip to make a single file and burn that to CD or DVD. This is a better method of backup.
Id also make a facebook or flicker account and save them on the net then you can always download them back on to any computer if every they mess up! Iv got photos saved on the net from over 10years ago and there still all there safe!
