Hi All
Have just bought a Seagate Free Agent GoFlex ext HD and it has two USB connections from the supplied dock. Does anybody know if I have to connect both of these permanently to the PC ?? Instructions supplied just show pictures.

You only need to connect both of them if you are using USB ports that can't supply enough power singularly (typically USB1 ports)

If it works with only one attached on your computer then you only need one attached.

Maybe it needs both plugged in to draw enough juice to power it...
