I've just registered with a large garden supplies website and when I went to log on this message came up..
"Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party".
(There's the option to cancel or continue)
Is it anything to worry about? I don't shop on the internet very often, I'm a bit paranoid. :)

Thanks for the update....lol
I I found a lovely one this year made by blackbirds when I cut down my huge rose in the front garden. It was carefully woven out of leylandii prunings from a garden that backs on to my neighbour. It must have smelt lovely when it was fresh.
Do the locals still go out to see the rain when it rains there? (Dubai)
fairly sunny so we went out to see the hippo

he wasn't crusing down the Thames, he's spending a few days in St Katharine's Dock by the Tower, then I think he paddles off abroad

lol jno, he's nice.

I'm always amazed by birds nests, so perfectly round and the way they use an assortment of materials in a certain order....unless it's a pigeon or a dove - throw some twigs on a branch and jump on quick.

Looking forward to Strictly, I love halloween week, the dresses/costumes are fantastic.
I watch Strictly but am also on computer so miss most of it. Oh Kate Bush Wuthering Heights, love it.

Just eaten arroz cubana, Mr N is getting his own meal as he doesn't like that!
Love that hippo!
we went for a stroll around Wapping and there were ghoulies and ghosties and gals in fishnet everywhere. Turns out there was a major techno Halloween party on and starting at noon for some reason

the hippo guy also did the rubber duck a while back though I never got to see it

Ay up mi duck...I remember him.

The fireworks round here tonight are absolutely ridiculous, I haven't heard anything this loud for years, I'm fed up of hearing them. I hope they've run out before next weekend.
Why do you have fireworks for Halloween? Oh I guess it's because Nov 5th is soon.

It's any old excuse these days neti. They should take the noise out of the ones sold to the public and then they can send their money up in smoke all night every night.
You are so right Robi, if there were no booms and whistles I wouldn't mind at all. Its not been too bad tonight, so long as I have stayed with them they have been worried but nowhere near as bad as it has been in other years. The melatonin is marvellous stuff.

Mornin'...what a difference, it's colder, wet and miz...and I've got the hippy, hippy aches. So far today I've waited for my big computer to stir and whirr into action...and promptly pressed the 'sleep' button. And I've put a clean bra in the sock drawer...ooh, horror. Then again, socks and bras do have a partnership in my life.... might as well get that in before neti does

And you can all share my earworm, I've had it since yesterday and no idea why...wakey wakey...

Good morning all, bright and sunny here:

That is my earworm since Pointless last night, Mr N has never heard of it, any of you remember it?

We are trying out the cheaper of the two sound bars today, and to be honest it sounds as good as the expensive one, and the remote has less buttons and faffing about.

All quite here, tourists gone til next season, now it is out island again, all I need now is rain, chill and clouds and I'll be happy as Larry (who ever he was!) I know I'll moan when it gets really cold indoors cos of the damp here.
tut quiet I mean, my spelling is getting bad.
I remember the naughty lady, she liked a drink, didn't she? But ELO are waaay after my time. Grey and wet here, so glad I went hippo hunting yesterday.
Question Author
No neti, don't know that song but I do love Dean Martin.
I knew nowt about sound bars either until you mentioned them. You're right the new tv's don't have good sound, it seems to come out of the back which in my house means they're talking to the wall....and how well do I know that feeling.
