I've just registered with a large garden supplies website and when I went to log on this message came up..

Is it anything to worry about? I don't shop on the internet very often, I'm a bit paranoid. :)

Morning all...it's bright, sunny and very cold here. I don't want to get out of bed these chilly mornings but I don't like the heating to come on before I do because it makes me sleepy and gives me a stuffy head.

That's quite a spectacle jno, lovely pic.... but those crowds. :(
expecting quite a nice day here but max 10 degrees, so the fireworks are all going to be blue.
good morning all, bright and cold here. Today the tortoises go into their boxes to hibernate. I bet you all wanted to know that!
Question Author
Is there room for me in one of those boxes?

that is lovley jo, no one does it like the Brits. Can't open Robi's link.

Much cooler here, people are out in jackets! I bravely wore leopardskin leggings, my boots and a shirt (with a vest underneath!) Met a few friends for coffee, had a laugh, now pottering at home, actually lopped off a few algroba branches and cleared some of this dreadful purple weedy thing which grows like mad.

Found some LED lights for the kitchen, so will biuy some tomorrow, I do not have under unit lighting, and only a cold light over the cooker, and at night I want a "warm" glow. The kitchen light switch is not as one comes through the door (as the door was once a larder) so have to suffle in the dark to find the switch. Mr N won't like it one bit.

I have half emptied the pool, nopw waiting for Mr N to lob the carpet in it, to see if all the cat hairs and smell will go, if not, a new carpet methinks!

Had last letter from the hospital, all's well on the mammo front...always a relief.

I keep a lamp on in my kitchen after dark, I'm not scared I just don't like walking into a dark room.
Hi all again
Just waved my friends off .Had a lovely lunch at the carvery and a good old chat.It was lovely to see them again after all this time .Shame the weather didn't ease off .They brought me a dozen eggs ...lol.They keep chickens.
That's great Robinia .It's always a relief to get the letter saying all's well .
Oh shaney were they white matching eggs???

I agree Robi, I like a light on so I do not stub my toes or hips or arms.

Mr N has just finished off the half pie, cabbage and baked beans (urgh don't ask it was his suggestion!) I had to medium boiled brown eggs and a slice of toast, actually delicious, now scrubbed and in bed waiting for Corrie, there were a few strange objects in the bath with me, but they turned out to be leaves and dead flowers from my gardening effort!! Nice and clean now.

One of my best friend's sons is dj ing at Pacha Dubai Opening tomorrow and hija's work has got them all tickets, it'll be nice for them to have a catch up, as they grew up together.
If I were living in UK I would not have lights on anywhere in the house so I would not see any spdrs !!! eeeek!
No they were common or garden brown eggs Neti but my friend told me that she's thinking of getting some white chickens for white eggs .She's Israeli and also grew up with white eggs. A brown egg there was a treat apparently. They love it up there in the Fens .I said they've turned into Barbara and Tom .We had a lovely time reminiscing.
Hi biddies, a message from jude, she's won the lottery big time and has beggared off!
No actually she's busy with lots of friends and things and will be back on the thread about Sunday.
That's good Neti ,as long as she's ok and rocking along .I wondered where she was.
Just watched Michael Portillo in a new series of continental railway journeys. He was in Russia which was very interesting .Their trains put ours to shame .He was in Tula about Tolstoy and then Moscow and St Petersburg .
i have got battery operated lights on timers around the house because i like a bit of light around the rooms. qvc do a lovely range of candle lanterns run off batteries and on a timer. We went out driving to miss the fireworks and managed quite well. of the 6 gardens that back on to mine, four have got kids and none had fireworks at halloween so i thought it was a good bet for tonight especially as the weekend weather is forecast horrible. I think it was a hood decision, the dogs had a small panic when we got home but nothing major, they are now dozing provided i stay close. i have got wonderful black thermals with silver sparkles all over from marks. i do like nice underwear
just read back, excellent mammonews Robi, waves to Jude. Shaney i would like to keep chickens but the boys would love it in entirely the wrong way and also we are covenanted not to here.
ugh neti cabbage and beans, dont light any candles!!
I'm pleased you had a reasonably quiet night with the woofers Woofy .I thought about you earlier when we had a few shooty bangs here but it was nothing too loud .I think the weather put a damper on it .We had some very loud bangs of thunder though and sheet lightning .All quiet now though .
Night all ,have a peaceful one .
Good morning and good news Robi about the mammos.

I miss Bonfire Night, there were probably some Brits having some somewhere but I heard nothing. My nephew took the 21 month twins to see the fireworks, one of them loved it and giggled all through, the other hated them and had to be cuddled in the car.

Oh I missed Michael Portillo, would love to have seen the Russian one, maybe I can download it, especially the St Petersburg bit, as I've been there, bet it doesnpt look so grim now.
Am officially mad, have put lounge carpet in the pool, water has become filthy. Just wondering how I am going to lug it out.
Morning all
Lovely bright day but it's a bit chilly out there.Real feel 6C.
I expect it'll be on BBC Iplayer Neti .Can you watch that in Ibiza ?
