We have the option of satellite Broadband when we move but it will be shared, I'm not stuck on the "shared" bit but it is free. we will be in a very remote area of Wales so I think satellite will probably be the way to go, maybe we will get our own dish put in.
We had it in the Yorkshire Dales Ratter and it was fine. There was an aerial stuck of the top of a local barn and it was very successful. We all had to pay though and it was quite expensive in 2003/4 but the more people who joined, the cheaper it got.
Here in the U.S., we used to use it through our satellite TV provider (remote area like you)... it was expensive and uploads were very slow. Down load wereacceptable. We've since gone to a cable system that became available...

Ok, guys thanks, I think I will have to wait and see how it is, there is a scheme in Wales where they set it all up for free and you just pay a monthly fee, if I find the shared line slow we will see if we can get our own installation.
