The google home page opens as normal, but, as mentioned, the gmail is missing.

Anyone any ideas how to get it back please?

(windows 7 if that's of any use)

When you open the Google home page there's a block of 9 small squares to the top right hand side. Clicking on it and a drop down screen shows Gmail, Drive, maps, and the like
