I cannot connect to BT Yaho Broadband for 4 days,, I have spoken to them and the are telling me all sorts from changing my filters to purchasing a new modem from of course them. Anyone else having this problem. Thanks
No, but many years ago (well, two maybe) I did. Turns out my modem (Green alcatel frog) was faulty. It didn't show as a fault, and I only found out because I borrowed one for a test.
I had a weird problem at the beginning of the month when I couldn't connect at all for a day, but fortunately, next day it worked OK.
When we failed to connect to BT Yahoo broad band we were given the same explanation as yourself.After numerous telephone calls, it eventually transpired that there had been a mix up with our direct debit.We had paid them but it had got lost in their system.It would seem that you are 'cut off' without explanationif they don't redeive payment.
If you pay by direct direct, it might be worth checking that they have received the payment.
Well thank you all but the answer was very simple after all the hours i spent on the phone to bt. changed my filters had a new modem. When the Engineer went to the main box in the path it turned out that someone had shut the door with the wires crushed. What a simple explanation. Now all is well, as i say after spending hours on the phone to bt, changing filters, ordering a new modem which u can only get from bt. Thanks all
