If someone adds you as a friend on MySpace, or sends you a message, do you get an e-mail sent from the site telling you, or do you only receive it when you next log on to the site?

You should get an email.

depends on your settings, you can get them to send you an email if something like that happens, but you can also turn off the emails. look are you settings
