yahoo messenger 8.1

I am on messenger 7 but have tried to download yahoo messenger8.It down loads ok but when I go to sign in it won't let me so I have reinstalled 7 till someone comes up with what might be wrong Thanks

have you checked that its not being blocked by a firewall? Thats happened to me in the past and Norton was blocking it

tbh, version 8,1 is rubbish. I think its still in beta. For one thing, quite a few people have had problems with voice conferences with version 8.1 so most people I know have reverted back to 7 for now.

I'd guess that your problem is actually another bug in version 8.1. I had to revert to version 7 to get stuff to work so I'm going to wait until 8.1 is out of beta :)
