Firstly, I want to apologise about my thread last night, had a bad day etc etc, but still not right for me to be as I was. So sorry about that.. But thanks for all who cheered me up. I also have a question I posted in tech about removing info from my google bar. OK, I looked at a (naughty) site! given to me from someone at work. It was a rubbish site anyway, but cant get rid of it when I scroll down lol. Can you help me pleese

If you mean you have a Google search bar on your Internet Explorer, you can remove your searches by clicking the little arrow at the right-hand side of the box and at the bottom there is a link that says 'Clear History', click on that and it removes your recent searches.

i have done disk clean, deleted history/temp files. clicked on anything that drops down in google bar and deleted it, but the b*gger still comes up! I wish I had never looked at the site lol.
Hi Trinny.

Try opening explorer, going to Tools.

Scroll down to Internet Options and click it.

In the blue box, click 'clear history' and that should wipe out the sites you visited. Click OK.

Then, in the Google bar, click the small arrow immediately next to the blue G in the little window in which you enter search words.

Scroll down to view history and click.

You should now be able to clear the Google history.

Hope this helps and that you are feeling better.

The Scotch.

Hi scotchollie, I am with Firefox. Does that make a difference? God I am a bloody dimwit with the pc :(
Not sure - it might.

Can you open your history?

If so, find the site you visited and right click it.

You should be able to delete it that way??
Also try this:

To clear your Cache, Cookies and History
1. Go to Tools > Options.
2. Click Privacy.
3. Click History tab and then click Clear Browsing History Now.
4. Click Cookies tab and then click Clear Cookies Now.
5. Click Cache tab and then click Clear Cache Now.
6. Click OK to close the Options window

I only get to history via control panel.

Note to self. Never look on obscure web sites given to you by people at work :(
