I've had Norton pick this up and quarantine the file, plus Casino.exe from e.g. Titan Poker as been deleted. Trying to re-install I get the same result with SetupPoker.exe being deleted. A virus/malware scan picks up nothing - but catches it when either of those .exe's are executed. Any similar experiences or advice would be helpful.

The .exe files which are being quarantined have had the trojan put in by the people you are downloading from. It would be unwise to try to allow them to install. Trojan.adclicker simulates you clicking on advertisements within a site, which artificaially inflates the counter to that advertiser. The site is doing it to increase revenue because they will be paid by the number of clicks which take place.
Try to get the .exe files from somewhere else.
