As a Dial Up user , I am starting to feel like a dying breed or at least a Betamax owner!

My questions are
1. Does anyone know what the proportion of Dial up to Broadband users is?
2. Is Dial up going to be phased out once it drops below a certain proportion of users?

1) Don't know.
2) It's more down to when (if ever) dial up becomes too difficult to make a profit from.
I dont think Dial-up will be phased out for a long time yet becauce
1. Phone companys can still make a profit out of it
2. A lot of poor countrys around the world only use dial-up
I used to use dial up, and found it most annoying. I had a bt account that used to disconect every 3 hours, and it took forever to download something.

For me it was a case of waiting for BT pulling thier finger out and upgrading the line in my area, since then i have never looked back and i now pay less for BB with no limits than what i used to for a 56k connection.
