MSN messenger

i have just got myself a new pc, on my old pc, when i logged into messnger, it showed me the pictures of my contacts, but on my new machine it only shows me a grey or green person symbol - not the actual photo of the person, although it stil ldoes on my old machine - is there a way to change this? ive looked at the set up etc but cant work it out but would really like to be able to have peoples pictures against thier names in my contacts list

i think (im not sure tho) that your old contacts may have to re-add you on their comps or are you already talking to them through msn (which would obv mean you are added to them), i know that if my sister for example logs on on another comp (say her bf's) her picture doesnt show

I think I know what your problem is. It took me ages to work it out when I updated to Messenger Live from 7.5. Presuming you are running Messenger Live, look for the two green arrows, one pointing up and one pointing down (they are about a quarter of the way down), click the arrows and select "Show contacts details. This should sort it.
