Connecting to Safari

Hello there, I am wanting to know if anyone else has had a similar problem to me. I have been using Safari on my pc since about Dec and the pc has my profile and my wifes profile on it. About 10 days ago I started to not be able to connect through Safari but my wife still could in her name. I have to use internet explorer now and I fear I have lost all my bookmarks that Safari had.
Its just annoying when I know I have not changed any settings but I can not connect but my wife can.

Any suggestions asto the cause or remedy?

Switch to Firefox. :-)

If you go to File you can export your bookmarks and save them. Then download the latest version of Safari and import your saved bookmarks.

I'm a bit puzzled what you mean about connecting in your name and your wifes name. Do you have a login or have you got the browser password protected or something?

Thanks Gromit, when our pc goes into hybernate or is turned off or one account holder logs off we have the user sign in screen before windows properly starts. I have the main account, my wifes is also an adminustrator but the 2 kids just have guest accounts. I originally set up Safari in my account but it also shifted the wife's from IE to Safari. The kids still have IE as their default browser.
I can no longer even start Safari let alone view my bookmarks ( bad times) but my wife has full access as she did before ( good times for her ).
So I just wondered if anyone knew what the hell is preventing mine from booting up?
It was a bit early when I posted the initial question so I appologise for the lack of sense in it, lol.

Still worth doing an update of Safari, it should retain your bookmarks.
