I exchange emails with my friend every day but they are arriving in my in box blank, and when I click on previous emails from her they are blank as well, but I have already read them. Does anyone know what could be the matter? and have i pressed something inadvertantly?

Further to previous posting, is it possible I have put a block on her emails, if so how do I unblock?

Blocking someone's e-mails would not cause them to arrive blank - they simply wouldn't arrive at all. And it certainly wouldn't affect and e-mails you'd already received.

What e-mail client are you using?

well I have no idea what message centre in windows vista is....

But I can't help thinking maybe you have somehow set the font colour to be the same as the background colour for their mails only??? (can hat be done in any vista mail client??)

try opening one of their mails click anywhere in the body of the mail then hold done CTRL and press A.... what happens?

I have no idea, they may be sending mails in HTML format and you have set something your end not to show HTML content, but I really don't know what message centre in windows vista is....

I'd look for security settings and make sure HTML content is allowed/enabled but taking guesses here.

if its message centre, is it a live chat rather than email?

if its just the one person then they are printing in white on white or similar. Seems the fault of the sender. Ask the sender to attach a photo to see if that is visible.

Just a stab in the dark here. Have you somehow turned off the preview pane? Try double clicking on one of the mails and if that opens properly in a new window the preview pane is off.

Terambulan, that didn't work either.
Have asked the tiscali support team to take over my computer by remote control to try to sort the problem so will see what they come up with. Will keep you informed.

Just to complicate matters, my friends husband emailed me from the same computer using his email address and that was blank as well.
We are at present communicating via hot mail but not ideal.
Tiscali haven't come up with an answer yet!!

Yes no problem at all, just from the one computer.

Sorry shaking, I hadn't noticed your other email.
Surely then this must point to the fact that is is perhaps your friends computer that is the culprit. This is just an observation from someone not very with it usually where computers are concerned.!!
