A friend updated my hubby laptop and put Spotify on which is a music download site but when I googled spotify it said you had to be invited to join. The friend now cannot remember putting the spotify on and says must have been a mistake. Is there any way I can get spotify?
I don't think that is now the case.My son recently added Spotify to my laptop and I tried to use it after he had left.I couldn't get in as it needed his password which i didn't have.
I deleted spotify and went onto www.spotify.com and joined, adding my own password. The basic package is free, the down side is you hear adverts, but it's roughly every half hour.
other packages that you pay for are advert free.
You only have to be invited if you are outside the UK. . . . . and as far as I know you can't download from it, that's not what it's for.
It's a pretty good free application anyway though don't you think, wanting free downloads as well is asking a bit much!
Yes you can record music by setting your computer to record "wave out" then it will record whatever comes out of your speakers. Full digital quality copies of albums are now free for the taking.
I can't see Spotify lasting to be honest. Once the artists and record labels find out what is happening they will pull out of Spotify.
