google.com to .co.uk

i am getting really wound up over this, my home page is google.com but i keep getting diverted to .co.uk. I have run avg8.5,malewarebites,and spyware doctor and still it changes to .co.uk any help on finding the cause would be most welcome

click on "go to google.com" just below the search box and it should remember for next time.

yep tried that and went to tools and made it home page exited window opened window and bang, back to .co.uk. i have been redirected befor about 18 months ago but found that infection but nothing this time around, would uninstalling ie8 and then updating ie work ?

hi chuck sorted it out, after nearly a week of frustration i went into ie tools and unchecked delete browser history on exit now everything is ok, thanks for the reply anyway

It is google trying to be helpful.

They know you are in the UK so change your site name to the "local" Google.

This is so you can be offered local UK based "offers" and advertising.

I am not sure google.com offers you anything over google.co.uk
