In order to use Wifi on the laptop, you'll still need a landline. You will also need a wireless router connected to your landline. Unless you have a USB broadband modem, then all the configuration is inside the router. You simply connect the laptop to the router (whether by cable, or by Wifi). You don't need to "transfer your broadband to your laptop".
thanks for the help but This is to technical i dont understand could you send an answer in more easy terms to [email protected] if not just on here but i would prefer direct.I can use this cant i and get rid of land line as thats what i thought wi fi was what would i need to get rid of landline. Also could you explain in easy terms what you said before as i need it in simple terms thanks again
Sorry, I don't do direct communication.
"I can use this cant i and get rid of land line as thats what i thought wi fi was "
Maybe that's what you thought Wifi was, but you were wrong. Wifi communicates over very short distances. You can use it in a Wifi hotspot (such as a hotel, airport, etc) or at home. But wherever you use it, it communicates over a short distance with a device called a router, which is connected to a land-line (or cable). So, you still need a land-line if you want to use it at home!
