Orange will work for a while .. then it will be gone.
Best way is to make sure nothing is on webmail and let it rot away.

thanks "best way to make sure nothing is on webmail and let it rot away" sorry but what exactly does that mean? and will i have to set up a new email with sky and therefore change al the hundreds of accounts that have my email address?
Gmail. It's web based so all your emails are kept online and can be accessed from any pc in the world. It doesn't matter who you ISP is, you will keep your email.

Register today, import all your contacts and notify them of your change of email address.
Good advice HC, as always.

I can access my email from any pc now i just go on the orange home page and go on email account and thats it. oh i'm confused now!
The point that the guys are making is that if you no longer use Orange as your Internet provider, they may - probably will - close your email account. Best to sort another one out before that happens. Google's GMail is fine.
I was with bt with a bt internet address. I changed to talk talk and was told my bt address would go so I changed to gawab on the advice from someone one here as they said I would never need to change again if I changed supplier. Worst days work I ever did and over a year later I can still use the btinternet one.
The gawab is very slow getting messages through (thats if you can access it at all as its down several times a month). I have now notified all my contacts to start using the bt one again but will keep the gawab just in case.
Sorry =- what's gawab?
Gawab.com offers Web-based email.

Don't go there - it's rubbish!
